Operational or Departmental Manager

The operations / departmental manager is an advanced level 5 apprenticeship delivered remotely over 18 months that focuses on the knowledge, skills and fundamental behaviours to propel your professional career and includes an optional industry award/certificate. 

About the course & commitment

The Operations / Departmental Manager level 5 apprenticeship would suit staff that are either aspiring senior managers or existing senior managers of all ages management or existing that haven’t had any formal training. The program covers everything from overseeing a project to strategic management. 

The USP, is that this programme covers all the fundamental project management skills, to become a more effective senior manager or people, resources, and finance. The apprenticeship also includes the option to bolt-on the CMI level 5 award for those staff that want to go the extra mile to attaining this prestigious accolade; whilst offering the flexibility for others to focus purely on the apprenticeship, resulting in the programme being more manageable around their day to day job. The apprenticeship is designed to challenge you, ultimately requiring you to provide a portfolio of work based evidence, followed by a presentation of a work-based project, demonstrating your newly learnt skills in a real life situation that is a benefit to the business. 

Each of your staff will be allocated an industry expert tutor to support you remotely 121, which According to our employer and learner feedback, is the main benefit of our apprenticeship offering.

Upon completion, the employer will have the option to progress further afield to a level 6 or level 7 leadership apprenticeship delivered by one of our partners to continue their career development journey.
