Building Strong Foundations Through Apprenticeships @ TPFG

At Knights Training Academy, we are proud to support learners at the start of their careers in the property sector, helping them build confidence, knowledge and a clear pathway for progression.

This also forms part of our wider partnership with The Property Franchise Group (TPFG), enabling franchise businesses across the group to access high-quality apprenticeship training for their teams. Harvey’s success is a great example of how that partnership helps develop talented people within the industry.

A Work-Friendly Approach That Supported Progress

Harvey shared that one of the biggest strengths of the apprenticeship was how well it fitted around his work commitments. The deadlines and structure gave him the time he needed to complete his learning while still progressing in his role. This balance made the apprenticeship both manageable and valuable in his day-to-day work.

He also highlighted the support he received from his tutor, Victoria Johnston, describing it as “above and beyond.” Harvey said Victoria went into depth on any areas he needed help with and was always polite, knowledgeable and supportive throughout the programme.

Building Knowledge and Confidence

Through the apprenticeship, Harvey developed a stronger understanding of key areas of estate agency, including the age and eras of properties, as well as different methods of sale. He said this knowledge has helped him significantly in his day-to-day work.

He also explained that the apprenticeship has made him more confident when speaking to clients, helping him to share accurate and factual information with vendors and support deals more effectively. This has not only improved his knowledge, but also strengthened his professional confidence.

Supporting Career Progression

Harvey described the apprenticeship as having a positive impact on both his personal and professional growth. He said it made him feel more qualified, more knowledgeable and, in his words, “more grown up” because of the way the learning was condensed and applied in a practical way.

He also said he would recommend Knights Training Academy to others, particularly because of the support he received and the way the apprenticeship could be woven around work without becoming disruptive.

Why It Matters

Harvey’s experience shows how apprenticeships can support real career development in a way that works for both learners and employers. Through the combination of practical workplace learning, tutor support and a strong employer partnership, apprentices can build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed.

Congratulations to Harvey on completing his Junior Estate Agent Level 2 apprenticeship, and thank you to Belvoir Estate Agents & Lettings Wednesbury and TPFG for their continued partnership and support.

The government’s new Home Buying and Selling Reform Roadmap makes one thing clear: the property sector is moving towards higher standards, stronger professional expectations and, in time, mandatory qualifications for estate and letting agents. While the consultation on minimum qualifications is not due until 2027, the direction of travel is already set.
