Commitment, Confidence, and a Distinction Achievement

Building Strong Foundations Through Apprenticeships @ TPFG

At Knights Training Academy, we are proud to support learners at the start of their career in the property sector, helping them build confidence, capability and a clear pathway for progression.

This opportunity was made possible through our partnership with The Property Franchise Group (TPFG), enabling employers across the network to access high-quality apprenticeship training for their teams.

This month, we celebrate the success of Ruby Dowler, who completed her Junior Estate Agent Level 2 Apprenticeship, achieving a Distinction, alongside successfully completing her Maths Functional Skills qualification.

Ruby’s journey has been supported by a strong combination of tutor guidance, employer engagement, and sector partnership working.

A Supportive Learning Experience from Start to Finish

A key part of Ruby’s success was the consistent support and guidance she received from her tutor:

“Victoria Johnston has been absolutely incredible throughout my apprenticeship, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better tutor. From start to finish, she guided and supported me every step of the way, always taking the time to explain things clearly and in a way that really worked for me.”

This personalised approach ensured Ruby remained engaged and confident throughout the programme:

“Her encouragement, knowledge, and teaching style played a huge part in helping me stay motivated and confident throughout the course, and I truly believe I wouldn’t have achieved a distinction without her guidance and support.”

Strong Employer Support That Enabled Success

Alongside her tutor support, Ruby benefited from a positive and supportive workplace environment at Martin & Co Derby, particularly through her manager, Sian Turner.

Having a manager who actively supports development and understands the value of apprenticeships played an important role in helping Ruby balance learning with her day-to-day responsibilities.

This level of employer engagement, combined with the wider TPFG partnership, ensured Ruby had the right support network around her to succeed.

Tutor Support That Makes the Difference

Ruby highlighted the impact both tutors had on her overall experience:

“They are both credits to Knights Training Academy.”

This level of support, combined with strong employer engagement and sector partnership, reflects a joined-up approach to apprenticeship delivery.

Achieving a Distinction and Looking Ahead

Achieving a Distinction is a strong reflection of Ruby’s commitment, effort and willingness to develop within her role.

Her journey demonstrates how the right mix of tutor support, employer engagement, and sector collaboration can help learners build confidence and achieve high outcomes early in their careers.

Conclusion

Ruby’s success highlights the value of apprenticeships in developing new talent within the property sector. Through the combined support of her tutors, her employer, and the partnership between Knights Training Academy and TPFG, she has built a strong foundation for future progression.

Congratulations to Ruby on achieving a Distinction in her apprenticeship. We look forward to seeing what she achieves next in her career.

Get ahead in the agent qualification journey

Mandatory qualifications for property agents are firmly back on the agenda. Revived by the RoPA report and reinforced through ongoing Government consultation, the direction of travel is clear.
